As many of you know, the house that Alan Shnay and Elizabeth Brecher were living in and which is owned by Alan’s parents, Penny and Jerry Shnay, recently experienced a major fire. The cause seems to have been electrical. Alan, Elizabeth and a young man living with them, and two of their three dogs made it to safety with minimal physical effects. One dog and possibly two cats did not survive.
It appears that they do not have renters’ insurance. A Go Fund Me page has been started for Alan and Elizabeth, who lost all the contents of the house, including all clothing and personal belongings. Here is the link: https://www.gofundme.com/help-beth-amp-alan-recover-from-fire
If you wish to do something, but prefer not to donate money on line, think about giving a gift card from Kohl’s Target, Best Buy, Home Depot, or Menards, to help them replace their things.
We know your generosity is greatly appreciated by both Penny and Jerry, not to mention their son and daughter-in-law. You can direct anything other than the Go Fund Me to Judy Lohr-Safcik and she will see that the kids get it.
